Rhodes State College's "Lead the Change" event invited students from their 10 county service areas to learn more about their agriculture technology program. Students take part in a lot of hands-on activities, like using drones, learning about soil health, and other emerging technologies used in their curriculum, and helping farmers make better decisions. The goal is to show students the significance of agricultural technology in our region and learn more about the various jobs that are available in it.

"Everything involves high tech anymore. Everything is controlled by computer or an iPad, and it is our goal to help make sure these students, when they leave our program, are best equipped to encounter any problems they may have, installing, troubleshooting, learning new pieces of equipment, or anything like that," says Danielle Banks, project director of Rhodes Ag Reach USDA Grant.
