Elementary students found the purr-fect way to help out a local pet rescue organization.
Each year students from St. Gerard Catholic School help out a local organization, and this year they collected pet food, bowls, and toys to donate to Deb's Dogs. Deb's Dogs is an organization that shelters dogs and cats who have been abused, neglected, or injured. They depend on only donations and adoption fees to fund all of the animal's vet care.
The organization thanked the students by bringing a playful dog to show off some tricks. St. Gerard Teacher, Stephanie Litwiller says the students love pets and they were excited to help out. Litwiller says the students are happy that their donations will help out their local four-legged friends.
