A 19-year-old arrested following the death of Bluffton Police Officer Dominic Francis has pleaded guilty to charges he was facing in Medina County.
Dante Tate was charged with failure to comply with an order of a signal officer and receiving stolen property. He will be sentenced in August on the charges. In March, police say that Tate, Emin Johnson, and Zachary Love were in the vehicle that killed officer Francis while he was deploying stop sticks to disable their car.
The three ditched that car, and Tate stole a car from a residence outside of Bluffton and drove it to Medina County where he was arrested. Johnson and Love were arrested around Bluffton. Police believe that Johnson was driving the vehicle that killed Francis, all three are facing multiple charges in Hancock County.
