Tiffin man dead after motorcycle crash while fleeing Hancock County law enforcement.jpg

MARION TOWNSHIP, OH (WLIO) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol Findlay Post is investigating a crash that took like life of a Tiffin man Friday night. Just before midnight, the Hancock County Sheriff's Office was pursuing 33-year-old Joshua Hayes of Tiffin after he fled an attempted traffic stop on his motorcycle. While fleeing, Hayes veered off of the left side of State Route 568 in Marion Township, Hancock County, where he crashed into a large ravine. Life-saving measures were attempted, but he passed away at the scene. State Route 568 was closed for three hours following the incident, and the crash remains under investigation.
