Those storms passed through Mercer, Auglaize, Logan, and Hancock counties earlier Thursday evening. Among the worst of the damage is reported to be west of Celina, near the Ohio Line, and in the Lakeview area of Indian Lake. Initial indications are that a trailer park was heavily damaged there, along with businesses and several homes.

There are scattered reports of injuries as well as homes and other buildings damaged throughout Mercer and Auglaize County. So far, we have reports of multiple injuries but no confirmed fatalities at the time of writing, and crews are still searching damaged structures.

Your Hometown Stations spoke to Auglaize County EMA Director Troy Anderson at the Glacier Hill RV Park in St. John's, east of Wapakoneta. He provided a preliminary report on damage across the county.

"Made notification into St. Marys that they were being hit at the same time we had another tornado to the south of the city of St. Marys coming through across the lake. So, St. Marys took a hit, I know I got damages there. From the four-lane, 33 four-lane, north between St. Marys and Buckland we took several hits. As I was coming in I saw houses with roofs off, barns, everything wiped out that way. Third tornado, then I did see a third one. It combined with this one, what appeared to combine with this one when we took a hit here," Anderson explained.

Anderson adds that some passengers in the flipped cars on US-33 were injured. We will have additional crews out overnight and into the morning hours, and we will continue to update this story with more information on the number of storms and the extent of injuries and damage.
