March 22, 2024 Press Release from the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission: BEREA, Ohio (March 22, 2024) – The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission’s new toll collection system, which started as a vision and a study in 2016, is nearing the final stages of completion. The switch to the new system – which began last year – will be phased in gradually over the next several weeks. To accommodate all travelers on the 241-mile Ohio Turnpike – designated as I-80, I-90, and I-76 – the new toll collection system will feature a combination of open road tolling lanes for E-ZPass customers and a gated exit system for non-E-ZPass customers who prefer to pay by cash or credit card.

The Bath Township Board of Trustees have unanimously voted (Resolution # 12-5-23-6) to ask Bath Township residents to take a second look at the 2.5 mill levy increase which narrowly failed last November. The fire department came up short by only 43 votes and are hopeful that voters will reconsider this vital funding request.

Eleven days after the letter was sent, O'Neal's legal counsel filed a lawsuit against the Walter C. Potts Entrepreneur Center, the Lima Chamber Foundation, and Ackerman as the center's board president. The lawsuit says the allegations in the letter are a lie and the false and threatening letter forced O'Neal to take this action. It also says the letter is defamatory and portrays O'Neal in a false light.
