Two members of a violent human trafficking ring in south Columbus were convicted today of numerous felonies, including aggravated murder and trafficking in persons, Attorney General Dave Yost and Franklin County Prosecutor Shayla Favor announced.

26-year-old Ishmael Jose Moya and 30-year-old Rudy Rico Moya Sr., both of Toledo, appeared for their arraignment meeting on Wednesday. It was ruled that their bond previously set at $500,000 would not change. A continuation on the arraignment hearing has been scheduled in both cases, with Ishmael appearing on January 26th and Rudy Moya Sr. appearing on January 19th.

A Bellefontaine woman accused of suffocating her three sons has a new trial date. 27-year-old Brittany Pilkington's trial is scheduled to start on September 23, 2019, and the judge has set aside three weeks for the trial to take place. Pilkington has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder charges in the deaths of her toddler and two infants in 2014 and 2015.
