GREENVILLE, Ohio (WLIO) – A Darke County man has been indicted in the death of his grandmother, who authorities say was intentionally set on fire in December.
Jamin Brenner was indicted by a Darke County grand jury on charges of aggravated murder and aggravated arson in connection with the death of 86-year-old Beverly Lees. The charges follow a six-month investigation conducted by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Fire Marshal’s Office.
In December, first responders were called to a trailer park in Greenville after receiving reports of a structure fire. Inside the residence, they found Lees’ body. Fire investigators later determined she had been intentionally set on fire.
Brenner was arrested and is currently being held in the Darke County Jail.
