Honor Flight is a nationally recognized organization that takes American veterans to the capital city of Washington D.C. to visit memorials commemorating their services. This provides an opportunity to honor and celebrate their sacrifices for their country. After takeoff, the veterans are presented with mail filled with letters from their loved ones, friends, and even strangers from all over the country who thank them for their service.

Ryan learned more about the collaboration between Good Year and the Air Force research lab in Roder to create a domestic source of natural rubber from a specific species of dandelion. The congressman secured an appropriations bill of five million dollars in order to cultivate the plants in the state of Ohio. Ryan says that seeing this in the United States is important to overall growth in the Air Force.
