Executive Director Amy Wiechart-Bayliff spoke to the Lima Kiwanis this week about the organization’s mission to support those experiencing the trauma of a violent event. She said their role is to provide guidance and ensure victims have the resources they need.

“Some victims request full participation in the process, and for some that's too much, and so we're there to be able to assist them in the way that is meaningful and can support their healing and their participation in the justice process,” Wiechart-Bayliff said.

Crime Victim Services is seeking volunteer facilitators to mediate conversations between crime victims and those who harmed them.

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Some may face it more than others, but experiencing conflict is bound to take place in our lives.

"This is open to anyone in the community," said Paula Snyder Belousek, a board member at the Center for Peace and Reconciliation. "If you are struggling in work relationships or maybe in school or in community organizations and you want some extra tips, this would be a great program for you to attend."
