The sweet aroma of cinnamon apples was in the air in Spencerville! Inside St. Patrick Catholic Church, well over a dozen people were hard at work kneading the dough and peeling the apples for the church's upcoming annual apple dumpling luncheon. The nearly 4-decade long tradition is St. Patrick's biggest fundraiser each year where donations accepted will go to the children's religious education program and any remaining church expenses. While Tuesday night's task was huge with 450 apple dumplings to prepare, working together in the kitchen was a great way for community bonding.
