LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Applications for the City of Lima’s Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and HOME funds are now available.
Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock County will be repairing or replacing 25 roofs as a part of its 25th anniversary celebration during the coming months.
Starting Tuesday, April 1, all permits, licensing applications, and building plan submissions can be completed electronically. The department is transitioning to SmartGov, an online permitting and licensing system. Officials say the new process will reduce the current 29-day turnaround to 14 days or less.
Available positions include parks maintenance crew members, ball diamond maintenance crew members, and playground leaders. The only requirement is that applicants must be at least 16 years old. The city will provide all necessary training.

Current high school juniors and seniors can explore different career opportunities across ODNR that include wildlife, parks, conservation and so much more. “There are a variety of career paths that exist in ODNR, and we want to provide opportunities for young people to explore those options while gaining a deeper understanding of conservation in the state,” said ODNR Director Mary Mertz. “It’s so important that we host these job shadow days to allow future conservationists the opportunity to learn and get excited about what a career at ODNR can look like for them one day.”
