LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — As hard as it may be to believe, the city of Lima’s Recreation Department is already preparing for summer programming and is now accepting applications for seasonal employment.
Available positions include parks maintenance crew members, ball diamond maintenance crew members, and playground leaders. The only requirement is that applicants must be at least 16 years old. The city will provide all necessary training.

“We will put the playground leaders through training—CPR, first aid, all that stuff,” said Brett Roehm, recreation supervisor for the city of Lima. “We’ll put them through that ball diamond maintenance. What is more hands-on we’ll have somebody teaching these kids what they need to do. And the maintenance position is the same thing—they will work hand in hand with our full-time employees.”
