It's officially pothole season, and we're starting to see a few to pop up with the recent weather swings. Lima city crews report fewer potholes so far than last winter, but expect that number to ramp up heading toward late winter and early spring. City crews cover 150 miles of roadway and are strictly using a cold mix to patch the holes.

Cenovus Energy officials report the refinery's emergency responders put out a fire that was on site. All workers are accounted for and there were no injuries from the fire. Cenovus says the first priority is the safety of its people, the community, and emergency responders.
Schoonover Lake is looking good as much of the growth of vegetation that grew during the time the 20-acre lake was empty of water is being cut back. The water is clear, and the oxygen level is good for fish life. They haven’t restocked the lake, but fish have found a way to repopulate.
Multiple people were sent to the hospital after a crash on Wednesday. This happened around 11:15 am at the Marathon gas station on North West Street.
