Man jailed after domestic violence incident with shots fired

HARROD, Ohio (WLIO) - A man is in custody after a domestic violence incident in Harrod on Wednesday night.

The Allen County Sheriff's Office says that they were called to a home in the 8700 block of Lafayette Road in Harrod around 9 PM on Wednesday for reports of a domestic violence situation with shots fired.

There officers created a perimeter and ordered the suspect to exit the house. 23-year-old Spencer Coon left the residence without incident and was booked into the Allen County Jail. He is being charged with domestic violence, abduction, and a probation violation

The victim in this case was not injured. The case remains under investigation.

HARROD, Ohio - On October 22, 2025, at approximately 9:11pm, Allen County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 8700 block of Lafayette Road (Harrod, Ohio) in reference to a domestic violence situation with shots fired.

When deputies arrived on scene a perimeter was quickly established and commands given for the subject to exit the residence. Spencer Coon (DOB 10/02/02) did exit the residence without incident, was taken into custody, and booked into the Allen County Jail on Domestic Violence, Abduction, and probation violation. The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention.

This investigation is still ongoing.
