Sally Windle, executive director of ArtSpace Lima, said, “So there's an opportunity for people all across the world to be able to not only compete with this, but then they also have a chance to be nominated for an Academy Award. So it's just more inspiration. It's an opportunity, and it's also getting more and more filmmakers out there, because these shorts are gaining in popularity.”

ArtSpace/Lima is kicking off a new program aimed at giving area kids something fun to do after school. The After-School Art Program debuted with children drawing while also touring the ArtSpace galleries.

Looking for a creative way to keep kids busy after school? ArtSpace Lima is launching a new program to do just that.

ArtSpace Executive Director Sally Windle said the building has a rich history, but they only knew what the exterior looked like from photos at the Allen County Museum.

“It’s just a fun way for people to express themselves and for the library to connect with patrons in a way that’s not just about books,” said Liz Smith, head of Public Relations at the Lima Public Library.

“We've got three artists who do different things, but they all have a really great spirit, and that's why we've been aimed at capturing the spirit,” said Sally Windle, executive director of ArtSpace Lima. “So when you come in, you're going to see lots of information, lots of styles, lots of stories, but a great, great show.”
