The United Way of Greater Lima is changing lives 365 days a year and needs your help to make it happen. As part of their annual campaign, the online auction is now up and taking bids. The funds raised will be used for programs focusing on health, education, and financial stability for Allen County residents.

The Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships managed to raise over $12,000 for Heartbeat of Lima and Putnam County from their annual car show that was canceled due to thunderstorms. Even without the show, they were still able to raise money through their online auction, t-shirt sales, and sponsors. The fundraiser is a nearly ten-year partnership that helps Heartbeat continue to provide services like parenting classes, ultrasounds, and help with clothes, food, and other items for new and expecting parents.

On Thursday, 13 properties will be auctioned by the Allen County Auditor in accordance with procedures of the Ohio Revised Code. These properties did not sell at sheriff’s auction because minimum bids were not met. If the minimum bid is not met at Thursday’s auction, the property will sell to the highest bidder.

Small animals and their owners entered the arena to be auctioned off. Rabbits and chickens were the focus for Thursday's 4-H animal project auctions. 4-H members packed into the showing arena to reap the rewards for their hard work with their projects. They've spent the spring and summer caring for their animals, as well as keeping them clean to prepare for their showing.
