The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities recently announced new changes in future leadership. Superintendent Theresa Schnipke has announced that the Allen County Board of DD has begun preparations to pursue a shared superintendent with the Auglaize County Board of Developmental Disabilities as Schnipke nears her retirement. On August 1st, 2024, Auglaize County Board of DD Superintendent Renee Kohler will head the shared superintendent role for both counties. On Tuesday afternoon, we talked with Schnipke on how the shared superintendent system will work.
The Auglaize County Board of Developmental Disabilities held special screenings for children over the last two weeks. Specialists met with parents to discuss their child's development, including motor skills, speech and language skills, and sensory concerns.
