The Wapakoneta Octagon Club hosted a free community movie night fundraiser through donations tonight.
Students at Wapakoneta High School hosted their first cornhole tournament fundraiser, bringing together 20 teams to raise money for the Auglaize County Crisis Center and support families affected by domestic violence.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced annual funding to 48 domestic violence shelters across the state.
Nearly $1 million will be distributed to the shelters evenly that support battered men, woman and children. One of those shelters is the Crossroads Crisis Center. The executive director calls this an incredible accomplishment. She said the funding has limited restrictions, but they haven't decided how to use the money yet.
In Wapakoneta, hundreds of items were auctioned off to help end domestic violence. The Auglaize County Crisis Center hosted its 28th annual benefit auction.
