Learning how to take care of yourself when caring for a loved one is the goal of an upcoming seminar at the Springs of Lima. They're called the sandwich generation—individuals who are taking care of a parent while still taking care of their children. It can be tireless and sometimes thankless while adding additional stress to your life. Trilogy Health Services and the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio recognize this and invite you to a program to hear how important it is for a caregiver to build a support team to help them manage their stress.
Many families with kids aged 0 to 5 attended a community developmental screening Tuesday evening. The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities hosted the free and public screening at Marimor School to help provide parents an assessment on their child's gross and fine motor skills, hearing, vision, speech as well as regular growth, dental, behavioral needs, and possible autism indicators.

The class covers making a budget to help people achieve financial stability. Many times people can get behind on monthly payments and that can affect your credit rating. You will learn ways to identify and control your spending behaviors to make them more productive.
“One of the things that I want to do is make America safer,” says Wilson. “I want to help reduce mass violence, school shootings, domestic terrorism, domestic violence, and the growth of miss and disinformation in our internet and social media. I think that is really important.”
Tony Hoffman spoke on his experiences, including his struggles with substance abuse and ending up in prison, getting sober and performing in the Olympics, and of course telling his story around the country. This talk was funded by money raised at the Andrew Elder Golf Scramble that was put on this summer, with the hopes that through hearing Hoffman's story, these students will make good decisions throughout their lives and prioritize their mental health.
