The man accused in the March 2024 murder of an American Township woman has had his trial postponed again. Gervens Justilien, 33, will now go to trial Aug. 12, delayed from the previously scheduled date of May 27.
Lima police officials say that upon further investigation, detectives have determined that the injuries were not from a gunshot but from a blow to the head with a blunt force object.
31-year-old Gervens Justilien has been charged with murder for the killing of 26-year-old Christlande Auguste. She was found dead at a home on Makley Drive from strangulation and blunt force trauma. He is still on the run, and the Allen County Sheriff's Office is working with federal law enforcement to locate Justilien.
