LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The man accused in the March 2024 murder of an American Township woman has had his trial postponed again.

Gervens Justilien, 33, will now go to trial Aug. 12, delayed from the previously scheduled date of May 27. The postponement comes after Judge Jeffrey Reed approved of a motion for continuance requested by the state.

On March 10, 2024, Chrislande Auguste, 26, was found dead of strangulation and blunt force trauma at her Makley Drive residence, where Justilien also sometimes lived. Justilien is charged with murder, rape, strangulation and felonious assault in connection to the homicide. Both the victim and Justilien are from Haiti.
