(DELPHOS, OH) — Delphos St. John’s is back in the state tournament for the first time since 2017, and the Blue Jays are rolling in undefeated.
A dominant 62-39 win over Botkins in the regional final punched their ticket, continuing an impressive postseason run led by First Team All-Ohio standout Cameron Elwer.
Now 27-0, St. John’s turns its attention to Malvern, who enters at 20-9, in Friday’s Division VII state semifinal with a trip to the championship game on the line.
Head coach Aaron Elwer says the team’s focus and defensive adjustments have been key to the Blue Jays’ success, and they’ll look to carry that into their biggest test yet.
