LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Good news for all pizza lovers out there who are looking to support their local communities.
The Lima Rotary is hoping to start a new Lima tradition with their “Holiday Home Tour” this Sunday. This is the first year for the event, and they have 6 homes on the tour. It is self-guided, where you go to the locations and visit the homes decorated for the holiday season.
You have around 3 weeks left to help a child have a better Christmas this year with a new toy. The Lima Salvation Army's "Toys for Tots" campaign will be collecting toys until December 14th. There are around 200 boxes out at various businesses in the area for donations of a new unwrapped toy. While they are looking for toys and stocking stuffers for any age of kids, there is one age group that could need some more donations.

July 11, 2024, Press Release from Midwest Electric: ST MARYS, OH — Midwest Electric recently donated $15,475 to 17 west-central Ohio charities and community projects through the cooperative’s Community Connection Fund. Thanks to the 90% of members who round up their electric bill and donate to this fund, Midwest Electric has provided $1,376,954 to 1,183 local charitable causes since 1998. The Midwest Electric Community Connection Fund is a voluntary charitable program. Participating members monthly electric bills are rounded up to the next dollar, with the additional pennies deposited in the Fund. A Board of Trustees, composed of nine cooperative members and separate from the Midwest Electric Board of Trustees, oversee the application and allocation process.
