At this meeting, a concept design will be introduced that shows the features that can possibly be included in the aquatics center that will be located near Stadium Park. There is an activity pool, a multi-use pool that will have a retractable enclosure for year-round use. There is also a pool house and concession restroom area in the design. They are looking for more public input before the design is locked in.

Only months after opening their second adult day services location, Goodwill Easter Seals Miami County is adding additional services. The agency is now offering an afternoon adult support program. It will run from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a variety of activities that will include transportation. Anyone that receives from the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities is eligible and officials say the program is beneficial to participants.

Kayla Monfort with Activate Allen County explains, "There's just so many partners and so many collaborators are coming to the table to really look at these issues and that's really a testament too the work of Activate but also the work of so many community partners that are willing to come to that table, willing to have those conversations and put the work in to what it takes to improve the health of our youth and our entire community."

Through the co-op’s Community Connection Fund, 13 area organizations split $13,500 during this round of funding. Some of the people getting a check on Friday included the Allen County Mounted Posse, The Children's Hunger Alliance, The New Knoxville Fire Department, and Voices of Prosperity. Nearly 90% of the Midwest members participate in the Community Connections Program, which has given away over $1.2 million since it began.
