ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Services for adults with developmental disabilities are growing in the Lima region.
Only months after opening their second adult day services location, Goodwill Easter Seals Miami County is adding additional services. The agency is now offering an afternoon adult support program. It will run from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a variety of activities that will include transportation. Anyone that receives from the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities is eligible and officials say the program is beneficial to participants.
"They have access to technology, access to their friends just to socialize. Really the sky's the limit. It's a very fun program and keeps individuals out and busy so their not at home all day long," stated Allison Underwood, director of community support services.
