The Girl Can Cook Memorial Run/Walk will return May 16 at Faurot Park, raising funds for Crossroads Crisis Center while honoring a Lima woman lost to domestic violence.

Andrew’s House of Hope drew hundreds to its annual fundraiser as it continues helping women recover from addiction and rebuild their lives.

“Our number one priority is to feed those most in need and those who come to us for our services,” said Jason Aldrich, communications and public relations manager for the West Ohio Food Bank. “And you know, without the United Way’s help, that would be awful tough for us.”
