“We’re hearing from residents about needing more curbs, more street paving, as well as lighting,” Smith said. “That’s an ongoing discussion we’re having in the city about how we can use our existing resources to be able to deliver those necessities to our neighborhoods.”

“For the engineering division, what we would like to see is different strategies to know better what concerns residents have, and just have different approaches because one size doesn't fit all,” said Ian Kohli, City of Lima engineer.
Ohio Representative Jim Jordan spoke to community leaders at the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce. During the meeting, Jordan listened to concerns ranging from health insurance, voting rights, and issues regarding the local workforce. Jordan also spoke on multiple efforts that are underway at the state level that will directly impact Allen County and the City of Lima.
