LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The City of Lima is inviting residents to share their concerns about traffic issues as part of its new Neighborhood Traffic Management Program. The initiative aims to gather input from the community on challenges such as speeding, cut-through traffic, and general safety concerns.
To collect this feedback, the city will host a community workshop where residents can voice their experiences and ideas. The first of two planned workshops will be held on Thursday, June 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the LACNIP Building on West Spring Street. The event will be open-house style, allowing attendees to drop in at any time during the two-hour window.
The initiative aims to gather input from the community on challenges such as speeding, cut-through traffic, and general safety concerns.
“For the engineering division, what we would like to see is different strategies to know better what concerns residents have, and just have different approaches because one size doesn't fit all,” said Ian Kohli, City of Lima engineer.
City officials say the workshops will help shape future traffic solutions tailored to each neighborhood's unique needs. A second workshop will be announced at a later date.
