ArtSpace/Lima is partnering with the Ohio Arts Council to bring grant opportunities directly to the community.
The Lima affiliate of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice is hosting a free financial literacy workshop for students in grades 8 through 12. The event aims to teach essential money management skills and help teens prepare for future financial decisions.
Residents of Lima had the opportunity to weigh in on traffic concerns during a public workshop hosted by the city to introduce the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program.
“For the engineering division, what we would like to see is different strategies to know better what concerns residents have, and just have different approaches because one size doesn't fit all,” said Ian Kohli, City of Lima engineer.
Mercy Health – Saint Rita’s has partnered with State Bank to present a three-part series aimed at helping individuals better understand and manage their money. The free workshops, open to the public, will cover topics such as budgeting, savings, and credit repair.
Allen Lima Leadership partnered with Heroic Leadership to offer this program, aimed at “ALL” alumni and others in the region seeking self-improvement. Attendees expressed their satisfaction with the workshop and the valuable lessons it provided.
FINDLAY, Ohio (WLIO) - Finding a way out of poverty can be a tough road.
Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock County’s Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) will host a Bridges Out of Poverty Workshop on Saturday, March 22 from 8:30 am to 3 pm at its offices at 1200 Commerce Parkway, Findlay.
"Getting Ahead in a Just-Gettin'-By World" is a workshop offered by the West Ohio Community Action Partnership to help people struggling to make ends meet. The program is based on Philip Devol's book of the same title. It provides an opportunity for participants to discuss how poverty has impacted their daily lives and community. They will also learn about resources that can help them get ahead.
The City of Lima has funding for small businesses, and they want to get the word out. With both federal and local dollars available, the city's Department of Workforce and Small Business Development is holding a workshop to explain what's what with the funding. Sources include the Small Business Revolving Loan, the COVID Relief Grant, the Better Blocks for Business Grant, and several more. The Fun with Funding Workshop will include assistance in filling out applications as well.
