LIMA, OH (WLIO) - "Getting Ahead in a Just-Gettin'-By World" is a workshop offered by the West Ohio Community Action Partnership to help people struggling to make ends meet.
The program is based on Philip Devol's book of the same title. It provides an opportunity for participants to discuss how poverty has impacted their daily lives and community.

"It's huge for people living in poverty, and some people living in poverty don't even think of themselves as living in poverty, but they want to get ahead. They are tired of working paycheck to paycheck. There are resources that you can build that will help you do that," said Kris Keller, West Ohio Community Action Partnership community services director.

The "Bridges Out of Poverty" workshop will cover strategies to address barriers that people face financially and personally.
