LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - An Allen County grand jury has indicted a man on charges for a 2022 murder.

29-year-old Tony Sibert has been charged with murder, felonious assault, illegal possessing a firearm in a liquor permit premises, and carrying a concealed weapons in connection with the shooting death of DeJuan Adam on July 23, 2022.

According to the Lima Police, officers were in the area of the 200 block of West Grand Avenue when they heard shots fired. They found 26-year-old DeJuan Adam laying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. EMS were called but Adams died from his injuries.

Detectives determined that Sibert was the alleged shooter. He has been on the run until May of this year, when he was arrested during a domestic situation at a Lima home.

Sibert is currently in the Allen County Jail on these and other drug related charges is bail has been set at over $2 million.
