LIMA, OH (WLIO) – Residents of Lima had the opportunity to weigh in on traffic concerns during a public workshop hosted by the city to introduce the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program.
The event, led by the city’s Engineering Division, allowed community members to voice their concerns about speeding and cut-through traffic across Lima. Attendees also shared their input on possible engineering and enforcement strategies that could be used to address problem areas.

The event allowed community members to voice their concerns about speeding and cut-through traffic across Lima.
The initiative is still in the early planning stages. The next phase involves gathering feedback from Lima City Council to help guide the development of the program.
“We'll take input from Council, crunch that data, and then we'll come up with some strategies, and this fall, we're going to do this whole process over again. We'll present our findings, we'll present some strategies to move forward, and we'll do both a public and a council workshop. We hope to have recommendations and a finished study to deliver to the public by this the end of this year,” says Ian Kohli, Lima City Engineer.
For those who could not attend Thursday night’s workshop, an online survey is available to share feedback on traffic issues, including speeding and neighborhood cut-throughs.
