SPRINGFIELD (WLIO) — St. Henry used a strong defensive start to defeat Minster 39-23 in a regional semifinal matchup between Midwest Athletic Conference rivals.

The Redskins opened the game with a 15-0 run, fueled by early scores from Molly Wendel and Karlee Buschur. Morgan Baumer added key contributions throughout the night, while Alexis Buschur connected from long range as St. Henry controlled the pace.

Reece Albers led Minster with eight points, but the Wildcats trailed 19-10 at halftime and were unable to close the gap.

St. Henry advances to the regional championship game, where it will face Fayetteville-Perry on Saturday in Springfield.
