HARDIN COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) - Two people are dead after a two-vehicle crash in Hardin County Monday afternoon.
According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just after 5:45 p.m. Monday to U.S. Route 68 near State Route 701 between Kenton and Dunkirk.
After an initial investigation, authorities said 66-year-old Dori Spencer of Dunkirk was traveling northbound on U.S. 68 when she crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a southbound vehicle driven by 27-year-old Owen Bame, also of Dunkirk, head-on.
Spencer and Bame were pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other occupants in either vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
