Many shoppers return each year to find specialty items and support the cause.
“I’m always here, first of all for the variety of cookies. They are absolutely delicious,” said attendee Judy Bourk. “I used to be a volunteer here and work, but now I just come and buy the goodies.”

“They have nice stuff, reasonably priced, and it supports a good cause,” said Bill King, who stopped by the fair.

“Well, we know some people that do the arts and crafts here, and I think it’s a worthy cause for what their project is for the year,” said Helen Kunkleman. “So it’s worth it. It’s fun. We do the raffle, I haven’t won, but it’s still worth it.”

July 10, 2024, Press Release from The Meeting Place on Market: Lima, Ohio - Christmas in July has become an annual tradition at The Meeting Place on Market. They transform the cafe into Santa’s Workshop and offer holiday favorite drinks and desserts such as peppermint mochas and kids' candy cane cocoas. Multiple partners for the community have joined the coffee shop in offering a fun day of activities for all ages. The schedule for the Christmas in July event on Friday, July 26th, is 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

A family-owned bakery in Wapakoneta is doing its part in the fight against Alzheimer's. For a minimum $5 donation, Beth's Bakery is offering a free Alzheimer's awareness-themed cookie. Proceeds go to the Alzheimer's Association as part of the 'Longest Day' campaign as the start of summer kicks off today with the longest amount of sunlight.

From now until March 14th, residents can order their favorite girl scout cookies in the local area, as well as through an online platform called "Digital Cookie". Girl Scouts will be utilizing different methods this year to meet the demand for cookies. Girl Scouts may choose to go door-to-door and use contact-free approaches like door hanger order forms and porch drop-offs.
