With a new year comes a new budget - Auglaize County administrator Erica Preston is in with updates on what to expect for Auglaize County.
“Cost utilities going up. The county has more than one structure, so when you're looking at those utility bills, obviously we have to be able to budget for that. There's a cost factor that goes into maintenance fees and different things, so we have to be prepared to pay those costs. But we are looking at a relatively flat budget that's based on the projected dollars that are going to be coming into the county,” said Cory Noonan, Allen County commissioner.

The Allen County Commissioners officially approved the county budget for 2022 on Tuesday afternoon. All three commissioners voted in approval of the $31.8 million budget.
The Auglaize County budget will be slightly down in 2021. The Auglaize County administrator says the county's general revenue fund will be less for this coming year compared to what the county had last year.
