A Lima man who shot into a crowd of people in June of 2024 outside his home has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A Lima man who allegedly shot into a crowd of people was indicted on multiple charges by the Allen County grand jury. 42-year-old David Johnson was charged with six counts of felonious assault and two counts of discharging of a firearm on a prohibited premises. In early June, Lima police say that two groups of people came together to fight in the 700 block of West Vine Street. During the fight, 42-year-old David Johnson, who lived in a home there, fired 13 shots into the crowd.
Two people were shot during a large fight Saturday night on the south side of Lima.
