Commissioner Cory Noonan saying this proposal can be done and is the closest they have been to making the new facility a reality. The commissioners have received several "referral for qualifications" from architects to design the facility and will review those in the near future. Today they asked department heads to voice their concerns and needs for office space. With recent federal dollars from the American Rescue Plan Act, commissioners say now is the time to act.
17-year-old Jordan Daniel was sentenced to serve time at the Ohio Department of Youth Services up until he reaches the age of 21. Daniel was also sentenced as an adult to a term of 20 years to life, but that term will be stayed pending a motion to impose.
A Lima man who was found guilty of killing his girlfriend’s son, will not get his appeal heard by the Ohio Supreme Court.

A Lima school is shutting their doors after being plagued with financial issues. A member of the school board says that LEO Academy missed out on nearly $200,000 last year because of non-compliance. Students and staff now have about two weeks over Christmas break to make the decision of where they will be going next, and the board has tried to reach out to different groups to help with that transition.
