ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Allen County commissioners presented their intentions of a new administration building to house non-judicial offices.
Commissioner Cory Noonan saying this proposal can be done and is the closest they have been to making the new facility a reality. The commissioners have received several "referral for qualifications" from architects to design the facility and will review those in the near future. Today they asked department heads to voice their concerns and needs for office space. With recent federal dollars from the American Rescue Plan Act, commissioners say now is the time to act.
"Unlike the previous two, we have the dollars to go forward in a large respect. But now it's just time to get the plan put together and get everybody working together and see how that goes forward," explained Cory Noonan, Allen County Commissioner.
The commissioners have been looking into possible locations that may work but no decision will be made until they have weighed all the needs of departments and have a design in hand. They are also looking for a new location for the Allen County child support enforcement services.
