Lincolnview Local Schools will be changing their educational service center affiliation. On Monday evening, the Lincolnview School Board of Education unanimously voted to switch the district's affiliation from the Western Buckeye ESC to the Mercer County ESC. According to Lincolnview Superintendent Jeff Snyder, the school district has been utilizing some curriculum and professional development services from Mercer County ESC since 2019. Despite the change of affiliation to Mercer County, Superintendent Snyder still says they will still work with Western Buckeye in the future.
OTTAWA, OH (WLIO) - The Putnam County Educational Service Center helped families of people with disabilities find the community support they need.
Lima Rotary hearing from the Allen County Educational Service Center about grant dollars received from the state to assist students in a wide variety of areas. 75 million in COVID dollars were available statewide and Allen County received 2.1 million of that. The next step was determining how to distribute those dollars to Allen County schools. The Educational Service Center's superintendent says they reached out to the schools to find out their most pressing needs.
Student in Putnam County got to show off all their artistic talent at the return of the art festival. There were around 900 pieces for the juried art show and over 100 musicians and singers from all Putnam County Schools performing together for the first time in the concert. The Arts Festival is sponsored by the Putnam County Educational Service Center and it was last held in person 2020, just days before everything stopped because of the pandemic. Last year it was reduced to just a virtual art show, and no music. But now everyone is back together, which is a good thing for students.
