All Ohio State and Michigan fans were ready to watch the big game on Saturday. But for one group, the party was taken to a whole new level. Fresh n Faded and the Allen County Board of DD teamed up for an event called “Hang Time.” Not only were these fans able to root for the Buckeye and Wolverines, but also have some great game time food and show off some of their best dance moves during some of the down time. The Allen County Board of DD wanted put on an event were their clients and the community can come together and have some fun, but also raise some awareness too.
Country music fans have flocked to Fort Loramie for the 41st Country Concert in the Hills. The three-day music festival began Thursday night with country music superstar Carrie Underwood headlining the first day of artists. Organizers say because of the great fan response, tickets for each of the three days have sold out. This after last year they had a record number of people, after having the concert cancelled in 2020 because of covid. Country music duo Brooks and Dunn will be Friday's headliner and Morgan Wallen will be closing out the event on Saturday night.
The University of Southern California (USC) and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) decided to leave the PAC-12, joining the Big Ten, effective in 2024. Lima residents who are also Big Ten fans were shocked to hear the news. "That really surprised me," said Gary Weber, an Ohio State fan.
The marker for William Ellsworth Hoy was unveiled in Houcktown Tuesday afternoon. Hoy became deaf and mute after he had contracted spinal meningitis as a toddler. But he grew up to be one of the great baseball players of the 19th century. Racking up good numbers as a player, including leading the league with 82 stolen bases when he played for the Washington Senators in 1888. But Hancock County Engineer Doug Cade wanted to do more to make sure the legacy of Hoy is remembered.

Have a good time. Nothings wrong with drinking. Nothing’s wrong with driving. Just don’t do the two together. So, designate a driver, stay somewhere, call a cab. Call an uber. Something like that. We just want you to get home safe.”
