Soldiers of Honor and New Look Fitness will host the Safe Summer Block Party on Saturday in downtown Lima, offering free activities and resources for local families. Organizers say the event is designed to help children begin their summer on a positive note while connecting them with programs and opportunities in the community.

Lima has been selected to host one of Ohio’s signature America 250 homecoming and picnic celebrations on June 27 at the Greater Lima Region Park and Amphitheater. The free event will feature live entertainment, family activities, food trucks and a community gathering to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The City of Lima and West Ohio Community Action Partnership are hosting free workshops for prospective homeowners.
The sessions will cover budgeting, credit and the home loan process, with lenders available to answer questions.

The Allen County Museum will host its Hot Cocoa and History Day on Saturday, offering a blend of learning, local history and hands-on activities for visitors of all ages.
