LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Residents who have dreamed of owning their own home will have the opportunity to learn more about the process through upcoming workshops hosted by the City of Lima.

The city has partnered with West Ohio Community Action Partnership to provide informational workshops for prospective homeowners. Organizers say the sessions are designed to help individuals at any stage of the home buying journey, offering guidance on budgeting, credit and available community resources. Marcell King, a Lima neighborhood specialist, said participants will also have direct access to lenders.

“We will actually have some lenders there. So the lenders will take them through that process, things such as this, important is their credit, them actually going through the application process. So those types of things will be covered by the lenders,” said Marcell King.

Two workshops will be offered from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Cambridge Center, 418 N. Central Ave. Lima. The first session is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, with a second workshop planned for April 22. The workshops are free to attend, but participants are asked to pre-register by visiting wocap.org or calling 419-227-2586.
