The FEND Off Fentanyl Act takes action to expand sanctions to illicit fentanyl traffickers in Mexico and the creators of precursor chemicals in China. Senator Brown worked with law enforcement to craft the legislation, and national and Ohio law enforcement praised the bill’s passage last night.

April 11, 2024, Press Release from the Office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost: (COLUMBUS, Ohio) — Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and 18 other state attorneys general are opposing a new federal program that promotes aggressive enforcement of “red flag” gun-confiscation laws.
Governor DeWine spoke to the General Assembly about some of the accomplishments that the state has had in the past year and the goals he has for Ohio in the future. Help wanted signs are up in many Ohio businesses. To get parents to fill those positions, DeWine is calling for the creation of a childcare voucher program, so their kids will be watched while mom and dad are at work.
He shared the role of the auditor and his staff to place checks and balances on state and local governments to be more efficient, effective, and transparent. Most recently, they released a report on Medicaid that showed more than 100,000 people registered in Ohio as well as up to eight other states, costing Ohioans nearly a billion dollars.
