Students in grades 7th through 12th have the opportunity to participate in the program that will cover a variety of topics including career exploration, college applications and ACT and SAT testing preparation. It is being sponsored by the Smith-Jones Foundation and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Sigma Mu Omega Chapter.

The organization held a vaccine clinic offering a variety of vaccines that schools require before the official calendar year starts. Allen County Public Health offered the COVID-19 vaccine as well to students. Organizers state that this is a great opportunity to ensure that students are safe and healthy as they return to school.

Lifewise Academy is getting ready to spread the word of the Lord to more students across the state and country this coming school year. They are holding a two-day summit in Van Wert for their bible focused instructors before the next school year starts. Lifewise is a religious instruction program, that happens during the school day but off of school property.

Superior Credit Union and OSU Lima held their "Real World/Real Money" workshop with 8th-grade students, putting them through the struggles and headaches that come with managing a monthly budget. Each student received a simulation of living as a 25-year-old adult and was assigned jobs and families. They then would learn to balance their budget to live a month in the life of an adult.
