ELIDA, Ohio - Former Elida and Purdue standout Dakota Mathias returned home this week to host his ninth annual youth basketball camp at the Elida Fieldhouse.

About 200 campers from kindergarten through eighth grade took part in the two-day event, focusing on fundamentals such as footwork, dribbling, passing and shooting. Several professional basketball players also helped instruct the camp.

For Mathias, the camp continues a longtime effort to give back to the community and inspire the next generation of young basketball players.
