KENTON, Ohio (WLIO) — More than 500 swimmers from eight teams competed on the final day of the Western Ohio Aquatic League Championships at the Kenton City Swimming Pool, with several standout performances highlighting Sunday's action.

Westside Waves' Angela Fronzaglia turned in one of the day's top performances, winning the girls 15-and-over 50-meter backstroke in a meet-record time of 29.72 seconds. Fronzaglia also eclipsed her previous personal-best time of 30.37 seconds set last year.

On the boys' side, Bluffton's Parker McGraw claimed first place in the 50-meter backstroke, touching the wall in 28.59 seconds.

Findlay's Tillie Abbott captured gold in the girls 100-meter freestyle with a winning time of 59.83 seconds, while fellow Findlay Frog Kai Borsay won the boys 100-meter freestyle in 56.40 seconds.

Shawnee's Gianna Decanio earned first place in the girls 50-meter breaststroke after posting a time of 37.21 seconds.

McGraw added another gold medal later in the meet, winning the boys 50-meter breaststroke in 31.99 seconds to cap off a strong day for Bluffton.
