LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Lima Locos celebrated a historic milestone Saturday while sweeping a doubleheader from the Xenia Scouts at Simmons Field.

In game one, the Locos earned a 2-1 victory to secure the 900th win in franchise history.

Wapakoneta graduate Taylor Echols led the way on the mound, allowing just one run over five innings while striking out eight batters.

The Locos completed the sweep in the nightcap behind another dominant pitching performance from a Wapakoneta product.

Grant Jolly tossed a complete-game one-hit shutout and recorded six strikeouts as Lima defeated the Scouts to finish off the doubleheader sweep.

With the two victories, the Locos improved to 23-8 on the season.
