Jimmy Buffett tribute band brings island vibes to Lima's summer concert series

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Downtown Lima embraced a tropical atmosphere Friday night as Parrot Heads gathered at the Pangle Pavilion for a Jimmy Buffett tribute concert.

Lost in Paradise, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, took the stage as part of the Lima Festival and Amphitheater Alliance's summer concert series. The alliance has hosted a variety of performances this summer featuring musical styles including Motown, women of rock and roll, and country music. Organizers said the concert series has done more than provide live entertainment by bringing people throughout the community together.

“It definitely makes you feel good to see the different people come out, the different crowds. You get to talk to people that you've never met before and find the similarities that you have with all the different people in our community. So far, we feel like everything's been going great. We've had different crowds come out for the different shows, and we're really excited for this last half of shows starting with our Jimmy Buffett tribute tonight. And the rest of our shows are going to be tribute shows for the rest of the season,” said Ashley Blake of the Lima Festival and Amphitheater Alliance.

The summer concert series continues July 31 with Boys in the Band, an Alabama tribute band. Tickets are available at www.lfaaevents.com.
